Turkey Tours

Meeting place of the Eastern and Western worlds, Turkey has always been a land of contrasts. Cosmopolitan Istanbul stood at the head of the Byzantine Empire for a thousand years, while its Islamic successors, the Ottomans, ruled the Mediterranean and beyond for six centuries more. This long Christian and Islamic history has left a legacy of historical sites, while Turkey’s Mediterranean coastline has long been famous for its beaches and wild nightlife. Travel Turkey east into the interior, however, and a more traditional land unfolds where life moves slowly and the legendary Turkish hospitality lives on.

"Highly recommend" My husband and I have just returned from a 13 day tour of Turkey with Flo Tours on November 3. Our journey started in Istanbul, took us to Ankara, Cappadocia, Konya, Pamukkale, Hierapolis, Kusadasi, Ephesus, Pergamum, Canakkale, Troy and back to Istanbul. The original tour group was limited to 24 persons. When we arrived in Istanbul we were met by a single lady and that turned out to be our tour group, just the three of us. The rest of the persons in the group had cancelled. I am assuming the cancellations were because of the unrest in Syria. Turkey is a very large, ancient and geographically diverse county. The Turks that we encountered were warm, friendly and very hospitable. A smile and sign language would overcome the language barrier easily. Our \"private tour\", so to speak, was fabulous for us, but not so good for the Turkish economy which lists tourism as its second largest industry! I would like to say to your readers who are considering a trip to Turkey, go! At no time on our journey did we feel unsafe or threatened. We saw no signs of military presence anywhere, except for honorary guards at the Mausoleum of Ataturk. When we had free time at the beaches and in Istanbul, we felt safe. The people were very helpful and friendly. We had such a great time with the Turks and saw so many marvels of ancient history and the Hot Air Balloon ride in Cappadocia was awesome! My husband and I both highly recommend traveling in Turkey!

"This tour was amazing!"
Just got back from the Turkish Delight tour. Can not recommend this enough. The itinerary was fabulous including Ephesus, Cappadocia , Konya, , Pamuukkale and many others including the fantastic Instanbul. From hot air ballooning over the amazing scenery of Cappadocia, a haman, swimming in thermal pool with 3000 year old columns under my feet, the spiritual whirling Dervishes, swimming in the Mediterranean and fantastical historical sites that I have only read about. This tour was amazing !
Our tour guide Ahmet was great , bringing the diverse history of this country to life . Food was great , itinerary was great , tour guide was great. No dramas AT ALL ( some people are worried about Turkey at the moment) Can not recommend this tour enough. You will be like me and fall in love with this amazing diverse colourful country . Can't wait to go back.
