Day 1: BISHKEK

Arrival to the airport Manas and meeting Kyrgyz team. Transfer to Bishkek – the capital. Overnight in Bishkek. (You stated you would not need a transfer on arrival and you will make your own way to the hotel. In case you would need please let us know in advance). (Early Check in:not included)

DAY 2: BISHKEK CITY TOUR

Start of the Bishkek city tour: Сentral Square Ala-Too, Monument of the National Hero Manas, Statue of Lenin, Old Square with Parliament House, Victory Square, Oak Park, Opera House, Philharmonic Theatre. Drive to nearby Burana Tower – middle age minaret, built in Balasagun town - the capital of Karakhanid State (IX-XI AD). Explore ruins of that important trading point at the Great Silk Road and visit a little local museum and a collection of Balbals, Turkic ancient stone sculptures. Overnight in Bishkek (B, L, D).

DAY 3: BISKEK-SKAZKA – KARAKOL (385 KM)

vAfter breakfast drive to Karakol – administrative center of Issyk-Kul region. The road goes along the south shore of the Issykul lake. Issykul is the second largest alpine lake in the world. Possible to see a yurt (ancient nomadic house) installation at the house of local family (extra pay). where the nomadic yurt installation will take place, showing the entire process engaging participants. On the way visit of the Skazka (Fairy Tale) Canyon with its colorful sandy formations. It provides one of the best views of the Issyk-Kul Lake. Drive to Karakol. Overnight in Karakol (B, L, D).

DAY 4: KARAKOL – DJETY OGUZ-KARAKOL (80 KM)

Breakfast at the hotel. Start of the Karakol sightseeing tour: Visit of the Dungan Mosque (XIX century), a unique building in Chinese style with no nails used. Also, visit of the wooden Russian Orthodox Church of The Holy Trinity built at the end of the XIX century.  Walk around the central bazaar (market) to feel the real life of the city. Visit to the museum of a famous Russian explorer of XIX century N.M. Przhevalsky, who was the first European to explore and describe Central Asia as well as to draw the map of it. Next stop is Djety Oguz, a scenic mountain valley, which is famous for its red rocks called «Seven Bulls» and «Broken Heart». Upon arrival walk around the area and taking some pictures.Return to Krakol and rest. Overnight in Karakol  (B, L, D).

DAY 5: KARAKOL – CHOLPON-ATA (150 KM)

Today there is a possibility to visit the largest animal market of the region opened only Sundays. Continue driving to Cholpon-Ata. Upon arrival visit of the open-air museum of prehistoric monumental structures (rock engravings, stone circles, tombs, the remains of a boundary stone wall,) and petroglyphs (V BC - VI AD) of Scythians and Hungsuns civilizations. Also visit to Historical Museum of the Issy-Kul region in Cholpon-Ata. Overnight in Cholpon-Ata (B, L, D).

DAY 6: CHOLPON-ATA – TAMCHY – CHON KEMIN-BURUNA-BISHKEK (320 KM)

After breakfast, drive to Bishkek. On the way visit of the Tamchy village, where local craftswomen can demonstrate traditional felt carpet making (extra pay). Continue drive to the Bishkek. Closed to Tokmak city before reach Bishkek visit to Burana Tower – middle age minaret, built in Balasagun town - the capital of Karakhanid State (IX-XI AD). Explore ruins of that important trading point at the Great Silk Road and visit a little local museum and a collection of Balbals, Turkic ancient stone sculptures. Arrival to Bishkek. Transfer to airport and end of the services.

Turkmenistan’s visa process, from which no traveler is exempt, is widely regarded as one of the most challenging in Central Asia. Turkmenistan Visa Application Process

All travelers, regardless of nationality, are required to obtain a visa to enter Turkmenistan. While the process is often considered one of the most complex in Central Asia, Flo Tours will guide you through every step, making it as smooth and clear as possible.

The most reliable way to obtain a Turkmenistan visa is by booking a guided tour with a tour operator that works directly with licensed local partners in Turkmenistan, as required by the government. Flo Tours cooperates with trusted and officially licensed partners inside Turkmenistan to handle this process on your behalf.

We strongly recommend planning your visit well in advance, ideally at least one month before your intended arrival, though earlier is always better.

Letter of Invitation (L.O.I.)

The first and most important step in the visa process is applying for a Letter of Invitation (L.O.I.), which is issued by the Turkmenistan government.

Once your L.O.I. is approved, you may:

• Obtain the visa sticker from the Turkmenistan Embassy in your country, or
• If no embassy is available, receive the visa upon arrival at Ashgabat International Airport or approved land borders.

There is no need to mail your passport during this process.

The approval of the L.O.I. typically takes 90 days, though processing times may vary. Once approved, the L.O.I. will be forwarded to the designated embassy or border point, and Flo Tours will notify you immediately.

Please note that, in rare cases and for reasons not disclosed to tour operators, the Turkmenistan authorities may reject an L.O.I. or visa application. Entry may also be denied if local laws or regulations are violated.

Timing & Planning Recommendations

Although the minimum recommended lead time is one month, Turkmenistan law allows applications for an L.O.I. up to three months in advance. We strongly encourage applying as early as possible.

We also recommend purchasing airline tickets only after your L.O.I. is approved, or choosing fully refundable tickets to avoid any inconvenience.

Unlike many countries where hotel bookings and flight tickets are sufficient, Turkmenistan requires travelers to meet additional conditions, all of which are arranged through a licensed tour operator:
