We invite you to discover three amazing Soviet-era countries in one tour: Belarus, Ukraine and Moldova. You will discover the ancient and current life of the Republic of Belarus. Ukraine will surprise you in so many ways: architecture is colorful and majestic and castles are spectacular. Explore the wines of Moldova at its premier winery which is one of Europe’s biggest. And a surprise visit: Tiraspol – the capital of an unrecognized country – will take you back to the USSR Era.

Day 1: Arrive in Minsk, Belarus [D]

Welcome to Belarus! Meeting guide and transfer to a hotel for check-in. Tonight, enjoy your welcome dinner at a restaurant – it’s time to get to know each other! Overnight in Minsk.

Day 2: Minsk Sightseeing [B-L]

Discover Minsk: from the moment of foundation to nowadays. You will see the architectural monuments of the 17th – 20th centuries, the Upper Town with the City Hall, the temples and monasteries. Then after lunch, we continue to visit the National Library, which was included in the list of the most remarkable buildings in the world! Drive to the Dudutki Museum – the open-air museum of folk architecture. Overnight in Minsk.

Day 3: Mir and Nesvizh Sightseeing [B-L]

We drive to Mir Castle Complex. The castle was founded in the 16th century and was rebuilt into a magnate palace and became luxurious apartments of the noble family, filled with works of art. Next, we continue to Nesvizh Palace which includes a visit to the museum inside the Palace and a landscaped park in the English tradition. Both palaces are included into the UNESCO World Heritage List. Overnight in Minsk.

Day 4: Minsk – Lviv Sightseeing (Belarus/Ukraine)  [B-L]

After breakfast, check-out of hotel in time for a 10:20 am pick-up for your transfer to Minsk Airport for a flight to Lviv, Ukraine. Meeting at Lviv Airport and transfer to the hotel. Late lunch (4:00 pm) and then, Lviv city walking tour. During the tour we will see the architecture of Rynok Square, typical Austrian streets, as well as modern dwellings. Together they narrate Lviv’s glorious history walking around the Medievil part of Lviv – the Market Square and the old quarters. Overnight in Lviv.

Day 5: Lviv – Tatariv, the Carpathians [B-L]

After breakfast you continue the tour of Lviv. The tour includes visit of the Opera House, High Castle Hill where the castle once stood to protect the residents and where now, it offers the best views of the city. You will discover the former Austrian casino followed by a visit to St. George’s Cathedral, which serves as a great example of rococo architecture. Today it is the main Greek-Catholic church. After lunch we drive to Carpathians, Tatariv. Overnight in Tatariv.

Day 6: Carpathians sightseeing –  Verkhovyna – Chernivtsi [B-L]

This day is dedicated to the mountains and its people – Hutsuls. We drive to Verkhovyna, the capital of Hutsuls and will visit the Hutsul Everyday Life and Musical Instruments Museum and learn about the Ukrainian embroidery and its different meanings in the unique museum of Vyshyvanka. For lunch, we will taste the local cuisine and home-made dishes at a local home of the museums’ owner and let you feel the life of locals.  After lunch, we will drive to Chernivtsi. Overnight in Chernivtsi.

Day 7: Chernivtsi sightseeing – Kamianets-Podilskyi [B-L]

After breakfast, we will enjoy a tour of the historical city center. Stroll along the main street named Kobylianska and see the City Hall, Teatralnaya Square and many other sites along the way. Enjoy lunch in one of the local Bukovinian restaurants followed by a visit to the National University.  Then drive to Kamianets-Podilskyi and visit the Cathedral of the Saint Peter and Paul and the St. Nicolas Armenian Church. The highlight will for sure be a visit to the Kamianets-Podilskyi Fortress. Overnight in Kamianets-Podilskyi.

Day 8: Kamianets-Podilskyi – Chișinău (Ukraine/Moldova) [B-L]

We head to Chisinau with a stop at Khotyn fortress for a photo stop, which was founded in 13th century and had Moldavian, Polish, and Turkish influence. Then continue to Chisinau, crossing borders. Lunch in the town of Balti. Overnight in Chisinau.

Day 9: Chișinău – Cricova – Orhei Vechi [B-L]

Today we will visit the famous Cricova Winery for a lecture about the wines and wine tasting. Then drive to Orhei Vechi – a unique natural and historical complex in the open air. It organically combines the natural landscape and vestiges of ancient civilizations which is known for ancient monasteries and eco village resorts. Overnight in Chisinau.

Day 10: Chișinău-Transnistria-Odessa (Moldova/Ukraine) [B-L]

After breakfast, enjoy a walking tour of Chisinau. You will learn about the cultural, historical facts and legends, while we walk along the central part of the city. On Stephen the Great Blvd. there are many great administrative buildings – the Presidency and the Parliament. There are cultural centers such as the National Theatre M. Eminescu, the Organ Hall, Theatre of Opera and Ballet. Then we drive to Odessa via the country that officially doesn’t exist. Exploring its capital , Tiraspol city. It will take you back to the USSR: feel the atmosphere of this disputed territory. Overnight in Odessa.

Day 11: Odessa sightseeing [B-L]

This morning the walking tour of downtown Odessa will take you to historical and old aged streets where you will see masterpieces of architecture and art buildings, The Opera and Ballet Theaters and archaeological and marine museums are. Strolling along Primorsky Blvd. will be your chance to see an ancient building of the municipal Duma von Vorontsov Palace with colonnaded entrance and the monument Duke de Richelieu and famous Potemkin stairs. They are the main entrance from the seaside where you can witness the fascinating view of the marine terminal and seaport. Overnight in Odessa. *OPTIONAL Tour: Tour to Odessa Catacombs, which are some of the longest in the world and played an important role during the WWII as a shelter for the partisans.

Day 12: Odessa – Kyiv [B-L]

We drive to Kyiv with a stop on the way: visiting a Cold War era nuclear missile base. The base today is a museum and you can experience a bit of what it was like to serve here. You’ll walk down a 150 meter long underground corridor and take a lift 12 floors down to the “Red” button of the Unified Launch Control Center. Overnight in Kyiv.

Day 13:  Kyiv sightseeing [B-L]

Our walking tour will start from exploring ancient part of Kyiv city center. You will enjoy seeing Golden Gates, explore St. Sophia Cathedral, discover secrets of St. Andrew church and St. Michael Golden-Domed Church. After lunch, we continue with a walk along Khreshchatyk Street – the shortest yet the widest main street in the world. We will end our tour at Maidan meaning the square – where all the Ukrainian revolutions had started. Overnight in Kyiv.

Day 14: Kyiv sightseeing [B-D]

We will visit Kyevo Pecherska Lavra with its caves which is the most ancient monastery and UNESCO Heritage site. Later we will explore the Motherland Statue complex and WWII Museum. Later, return to the hotel after the tour. Free time. Tonight, we will have farewell dinner at a local restaurant walking distance to our hotel. Overnight in Kyiv. *OPTIONAL Tour: A tour to Mezhyhirya Residence, the house of the former Ukrainian President.

Day 15: Kyiv departure [B]

Pick up from the hotel and transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
