Day 1: Arrive in Athens
Upon your arrival you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Balance of the day is at your leisure!
Day 2: Athens
After breakfast depart for a half day Athens City Tour:
This tour gives you an opportunity to observe the striking contrast that makes Athens such a fascinating city. Our expert guides take you to see the center of the city, Constitution Square (Syntagma), the House of Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier and the National library. Driving down Herod Atticus Street, you will see the Evzones in their picturesque uniform and the Presidential Palace. On your way to the Acropolis you will see the Hadrian's Arch, the Temple of Olympian Zeus and you will make a short stop at the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of the modern era were held in 1896. On the Acropolis visit the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally, "the harmony between material and spirit", the monument that "puts order in the mind", the Parthenon. Continue and visit the place where at last the statues found their home and admire the wonders of the classical era at the new Acropolis Museum. The afternoon could be spend for a strolling and shopping, in the Old Plaka area with its narrow streets animated with taverns, shops, and ancient monuments. Overnight in Athens.
Day 3: Athens - Mykonos
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning departure from the hotel to the airport to catch a short flight to Mykonos Island. Upon arrival in Mykonos, transfer from the airport to hotel.
Day 4: Mykonos
A day at leisure. Enjoy strolling in the famous cosmopolitan Mykonos town with its whitewashed cubic houses, windmills and chapels. Discover the town's' beautiful narrow streets with traditional shops and restaurants, little Venice with the famous windmills and a number of small chapels around nearly every corner. You may also take an optional half day guided visit to the island of Delos inhabited with a huge archaeological site. Only a 45 minute boat ride away from Mykonos. Delos was the center of the Cyclades of the Ancient World, the island of light, birthplace of Apollo and Artemis, home to the first multicultural civilization and trade.
Day 5: Mykonos
A day at leisure. Enjoy the sandy beaches, the sea and the sun of the wonderful Island.
Day 6: Mykonos - Santorini
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart transfer from the hotel to the port of Mykonos. Boarding on the high-speed boat heading toward Santorini Island. Arrival at the port of Santorini and transfer to hotel. The volcanic island of the Cyclades, Santorini, is known world wide as the most romantic island. Feel free to explore on your own the village walking along the cobblestone streets and the white washed houses with blue shutters. Overnight in Santorini.
Day 7: Santorini
A day at leisure at this breathtaking island. Admire the town of Fira's white washed houses, narrow streets, and open air cafes that cling to a steep cliff accessible by cable car or a donkey ride.
Day 8: Santorini
A day at your leisure! Enjoy the island on your own!
Day 9: Santorini - Crete
Breakfast at hotel. During the day, transfer to the main Port of Santorini. Boarding in the high-speed boat going toward Crete. Arrival at Heraklion port and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Crete.
Day 10: Crete
Breakfast at hotel. Departure for the visit of the most important site of Crete: The famous Knossos archaeological site. Knossos is the site of the most important and better known palace of Minoan Civilization. According to tradition, it was the seat of the legendary king Minos. The Palace is also connected with thrilling legends, such as the myth of the Labyrinth with the Minotaur, and the story of Daedalus, Ariadne and Theseus. This place will render you breathless as you wonder over the technology and facilities of that period. The site was continuously inhabited from the Neolithic period (7000-3000 B.C.). The most important wings are arranged around a central courtyard, containing the royal quarters, workshops, shrines, storerooms, repositories, and the throne room with banquet halls. Afterwards proceed to Heraklion town for a short walking tour and free time. Overnight Crete.
Day 11: Crete
Full day at leisure. You may choose to spend the day on the beach or take the boat trip to Spinalonga. Overnight in Crete.
Day 12: Crete - Athens Airport
Breakfast at hotel. Depending of the departure of the flight, transfer from the hotel to Heraklion Airport. Flight back to Athens Airport with connection flight back home.
