How can i book a tour?

In order to make a reservation, we require a deposit of $500 per person on most of our scheduled group tours. Please have your credit card information available (or you may send a check), as well as each passenger’s passport information, home address, and telephone number.

Also, the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) recently introduced a new program called Secure Flight, which is designed to improve airline security. In order to comply with this program’s requirements, we will also need each passenger’s full name, birth date, and gender exactly as they appear on their passport. Do you offer a frequent traveler program?

Yes. After your first tour with us, you will save $100 per person off the published brochure price of your next Flo Tours tour; and $200 per person after your third tour. You may use this frequent traveler credit as many times as you would like.

Do you offer travel insurance?

Yes. Flo Tours makes available an Optional Travel Protection Plan through Travel Guard. We strongly recommend that you protect yourself and your investment in the event you have to cancel or interrupt your vacation. This plan offers affordable group rates and can provide an extra measure of comfort and security. We will send you information about the plan when you reserve your tour. Or you may purchase the Travel Protection plan of your choice. Either way, we strongly recommend that you protect your investment with Travel Protection of some sort.

Do your tours require a passport or visa?

A U.S. passport, valid for at least six months after your return home, is required of all U.S. citizens on all of our tours. You should have several blank pages available in your passport. A visa is required for some tours. If your tour requires a visa, we will send the necessary information in your confirmation package upon reserving your tour. If you are not a U.S. citizen, please contact your embassy or a visa service for information about required documents.

What are your payment options?

You can make your deposit and final payment by personal check or major credit card (VISA, Mastercard, American Express).

Special dietary needs?

We do make every effort to meet such dietary needs as vegetarian, low-salt, and the like. (Unfortunately, we cannot provide Kosher meals.) We send this information to our tour directors who work to the best of their ability with restaurants and hotels to accommodate dietary needs.

Can i make my own air arrangements?

If desired, guests may make their own air arrangements on most tours and book their tour as “land only,” with a commensurate reduction in price.

Do you offer a roommate matching program?

We do not have a roommate matching program as such, but we do enable guests interested in sharing a room to contact one another and determine whether they wish to share. What is the quality of the hotels on your tours?

We select hotels that we believe are the best for a particular trip and experience – those that offer guests the best combination of quality, value, and atmosphere for each destination. Our hotels in major cities are usually centrally located so guests can get around easier; our unique lodgings are often out of the way, offering our tour members local ambiance larger groups never experience. Typically, our hotels include Deluxe, Superior First Class, Boutique and First Class properties.

Do you welcome single travelers on your small group tours?

We absolutely welcome single travelers on each of our small group tours. On most of our tours you will find a combination of singles traveling alone, singles traveling in pairs, and couples. In addition, our experienced tour directors work hard to ensure single travelers feel comfortable and part of the group.

Who is eligible to travel on your tours?

Most of our travelers range between the ages of 50 and 80. On occasion we receive requests from travelers who would like to travel with children or grandchildren. All travel companions must be at least 15 years of age to participate in the escorted group tours. We welcome families with kids younger than 15 years old on our custom designed private tours. We welcome all travelers, but request that you be in fairly good health to participate in our tours. All of our tours involve a reasonable amount of walking, often uphill or on uneven or cobblestone streets.You must be able to get on and off tour vehicles on your own. We regret that we cannot provide individual assistance if you require the use of a wheelchair or have other personal needs; in such cases you must be accompanied by a companion who will assist you.

We offer a diverse array of tours to Turkey, Greece, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Myanmar, China and Vietnam.

How would you describe your tours?

We design our ESCORTED GROUP TOURS specifically for small groups of just 12 to 24 guests, guaranteed, which enables us to move about more flexibly and efficiently, enjoy more spontaneous encounters, and experience a degree of freedom and independence not available to travelers on conventional group tours of 40 or more. An experienced professional tour director accompanies the group throughout the tour. We try to show you the highlights and go off the beaten path, as well as leave time for independent exploration.
